It has been so long since I have sat down and given you guys an update. Of course my favorite content to post is anything to do with fashion, but I think it is much needed for a little life update.

To be honest, this is the time of year for me that is the busiest! It seems like one thing happens after the other. As a new semester has began for me in my Junior year, I am beginning to prepare for my SAT/ ACT tests, trips to come, college visits, and tackling my hardest classes of the year. But on top of all of that, I have some exciting new... some really exciting news! One of the trips that is to come is happening this weekend as your girl is going NYFW (me inside... awwwwwwww). I always love reporting and styling the trends that I see on the runways, but I am so ecstatic to go and experience the shows first hand! I can not be more grateful for this opportunity and I have no one to thank but you guys. You guys have gotten me to where I am and have given all of these opportunities that I love getting to share with you all.

New York is honestly one of my favorite places in the world! The hecticness, the crazy people, the unique spots, and the energy are what make up this city and what honestly beings me so much joy. This past summer, as many of you know, I spent a month in New York City studying at Parsons School of Design. Being in New York for month forced you to push yourself past your comforts, explore and explore new things about yourself. When I arrived in the city on the first day, I was a girl with a passion for fashion but was not fully confident in myself and the choices I made for myself. When I came out, I came out someone who had found somewhere she belonged, a person who knew who she was. Recognizing what this city has done for me just makes me appreciate this place as well as overwhelmed by every chance I get to go back.

I remember one day from this summer when I was in Brooklyn in the Brooklyn Bridge Park taking in the view of the manhattan skyline. I was in complete silence, surrounded by silence and taking in the abundance of everything within Manhattan and everything that it has to offer me. Overtime I remember that moment, it brings me complete bliss and peace of mind.

I can't wait to share with all of you my experience of being back in New York. Let me know in the comments what place brings joy and has had an impact on your life.
